Challenge

B&O faced two distinct but connected challenges: firstly, a legacy architecture restricted growth as the product website and digital store were separate sites.

Secondly B&O sought to establish their voice in the digital age, leveraging almost a century of history to establish a consistent, premium brand.

Strategy

B&O embraced a MACH strategy to not only give them the flexibility to create integrated customer experiences that span online retail and physical stores, but also the expansion to accommodate new initiatives that will become part of the B&O experience.

Method

B&O engaged Publicis Sapient to bring a global, digital flagship store to life. Working with B&O’s existing fulfilment system, Publicis Sapient integrated a microservices-based framework, using the Contentful headless CMS and commercetools as the e-commerce engine.
