A legacy point of sale (PoS) solution could not meet the high standard demanded by Harrods throughout more than 1,000 service points across a number of airports, as well as the iconic Knightsbridge store.
Harrods embarked on a considered and sophisticated MACH-based strategy to ensure its technology could continue to meet the highest standards of its loyal customer base, regardless of the demands made on the architecture.
Harrods deployed Enactor technology, supporting retail and hospitality within a single solution. The software is integrated throughout the stores from PoS to integrated food weigh-scales, self-checkouts and the fine dining restaurants. Elsewhere, Harrods runs its SAP environment on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has included the likes of Dynatrace, Contentsquare and Klarna in its technology stack.
Spanning 330 departments across 1.1 million sq. ft of retail space, Harrods is one of the largest and most famous department stores in the world. The associated Harrods Group provides a range of luxury services, spanning property and aviation.
