1. Community Values
We expect all members to:
- Engage professionally – Encourage meaningful discussions with respect, openness, and constructive dialogue.
- Be inclusive – Support diverse voices and experiences.
- Add value – Share insights, ask questions, and engage in discussions that benefit the community.
- Act with integrity – Share credible information, cite sources when applicable, and ensure discussions remain fact-based.
- Enjoy and connect – Engage in cultural forums, share interests, and build meaningful connections beyond work.
2. Forum & Content Guidelines
To keep discussions productive and organized:
- Use the right categories – Post in the most relevant forum/thread.
- Search before posting – Avoid duplicates by checking for existing discussions.
- No unauthorized commercial promotions – If unsure, ask a moderator before posting promotional content.
- Reach out to Moderators – If you have questions, suggestions, or need clarification, our team is here to help.
📌 Pinned Content: Some forums will have important pinned documents (e.g., the Women in MACH manifesto, content submission guidelines). We encourage you to check those.
3. Event & Platform Participation
When attending events:
- Be courteous in virtual and in-person discussions.
- Follow event-specific rules.
- Keep event-related materials within the community (unless stated otherwise).
If using third-party platforms (e.g., Zoom, LinkedIn), adhere to both The Power of MACH Community guidelines and the respective platform’s terms.
4. Reporting & Moderation
If you experience or witness any inappropriate behavior:
- Message the Community Manager.
- Use platform reporting tools.
- Report it to the Community Team at community@machalliance.org.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Moderators will ensure discussions remain relevant and professional. To maintain a high-quality experience, we do not allow:
- Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech – This includes offensive language or behavior related to race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, or beliefs.
- Trolling, spamming, or disruptive self-promotion – Keep discussions meaningful and relevant. Self-promotion is allowed when it directly answers a question or adds value to the conversation, but unsolicited advertising and intrusive messages are not permitted.
- Sharing of prohibited content – The community does not tolerate content that is illegal, obscene, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate by accepted standards of morality and decency. This includes text, images, videos, and other media. Uploading or sharing prohibited content may result in immediate removal from the community.
- Political propaganda – The community should not be used as a platform for personal political advocacy. Political discussions related to MACH, technology, and industry trends are allowed.
6. Enforcement & Consequences
Moderation decisions are final. Violations may lead to:
- Warning – A private message reminding you of the guidelines.
- Content removal – Posts/comments may be edited or deleted.
- Temporary suspension – Loss of access for a specified time.
- Permanent removal – Repeat or severe offenses will result in a ban.
7. Legal & Compliance
- Adherence to Terms of Use – All members must comply with The Power of MACH Community’s guidelines and Gradual’s platform Terms of Use.
- Content Ownership – Members are responsible for the content they share. By posting in the community, you grant MACH Alliance a non-exclusive right to use shared content for community engagement and promotion.
- Liability Disclaimer – MACH Alliance is not responsible for external content shared by members or third-party links posted in discussions.
- Privacy & Data Protection – Personal and company information should be shared thoughtfully. Do not post confidential or proprietary details unless authorized.
