Regardless of the technology used by a customer, once an order has been made, the customer experience passes quickly from the front-end of high performance and immersive websites, into resolutely ‘back-office’ considerations such as the availability of inventory, accuracy of picking, and the logistics that will enable speedy, convenient delivery.
It is the contribution of these ‘behind the scenes’ operations that has led commentators to coin the phrase ‘The Amazon effect’: the expectation of business users and consumers alike that ordering goods, parts, or materials online should be easy, efficient and fulfilled within hours or days, as opposed to weeks.
Ensuring that these order operations are frictionless and invisible has become an area of intense focus. Digital businesses and eCommerce operators alike have sought to integrate data from different business functions and overcome complexity, to create a cohesive system. Pipe 17 has led this charge with a simplified order operations platform that combines connectivity and order flow into a single experience.
Based on the inherently collaborative nature of this mission, Pipe 17 has joined the MACH Alliance because of the shared belief that a community promoting common standards and ease of integration, is the best way to bring together best of breed solutions to the market.
In common with all other Alliance members, Pipe 17 believes that customers benefit most from solutions that work together and provide an open approach to commerce.
Pipe 17 already has joint customers with a number of Alliance members and – at the time of writing – is in advanced negotiation with various other vendors.
To add substance to these partnerships, Pipe 17 has already developed hundreds of connectors to leading platforms, marketplaces, storefronts, ERPs and third-party logistics providers. This has been backed by an un updated order processing engine, complete with dashboards for customers to embed, including data modelling and analytics via Snowflake.
Driven by MACH-powered collaboration, Pipe 17 looks to expand throughout the market by overcoming the complex, time-intensive and inflexible options for order operations, deploying composable technologies to deliver simple, agile and relevant options to businesses throughout ecommerce and b2b markets.
