Mastermind

Mastermind is an accredited management systems certification body founded in 2023 and headquartered in the United States. It independently audits and certifies organizations against international standards and assurance frameworks, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 42001, CSA STAR and AIUC-1. Certified cloud and AI services include Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Copilot and GitHub.

Mastermind was the first accredited auditor to join the MACH Alliance as a Collaborator. Within the Agent Ecosystem, it shows how requirements from regulations, standards and customers can all be evidenced through one integrated governance program, commonly built on international standards like ISO and reinforced through third-party technical testing like AIUC-1.

The mission of Mastermind is to make masterminds of these standards and frameworks around the world. Where most audit firms staff generalists across dozens of schemes, auditors at Mastermind are practitioners who specialize deeply in information security, privacy and responsible AI, which lets the firm move early on emerging standards. The Mastermind team contributed to the latest revision of ISO 27001, and the firm went on to become the first accredited certification body worldwide for ISO 42001 in July 2024 and the second accredited auditor for AIUC-1 in October 2026.
