Addressing complexity with efficiency

The explosive multiplication of customer acquisition channels - and the increasing pressure to create ever more satisfying customer experiences - have left retailers’ operations in a downpour of complexity, desperately trying to figure out how best to capture the rain.

The demand for impressive, convenient customer journeys such as Click & Collect, BOPIS, curb-side delivery or BORIS, has driven the need to create an operational funnel that encompasses order management and warehouse management, connected to the customer facing technologies that drive an order.

Addressing this problem from a uniquely composable perspective, KBRW has combined a full intelligent business process management suite(BPM-suite) and a MACH-based architecture to form the basis of an order management system that features advanced low / no code engines, rules management engine, API management and monitoring functionalities, combined with a headless design to drive operational efficiency throughout the business.

With such a collaborative blueprint, KBRW joined the MACH Alliance to increase the advocacy for an open and best-of-breed technology ecosystem. KBRW hopes to focus this voice onto the issue of large organizations and the digital transformation and management of their supply chains.

In this regard, KBRW has already worked with multiple MACH Alliance members, deploying large omnichannel projects for multinational companies in more than 60 countries.

One notable innovation throughout these engagements has been an enhanced real-time inventory synchronization that uses event-based logic to instantly update and maintain accurate inventory levels. It dynamically synchronises omnichannel inventory in real time based on sales, restocking, returns, and any other events, ensuring reliable global inventory calculation and efficient order fulfilment.

KBRW also recently introduced an advanced statistical projection model that significantly improves lead time calculation. This functionality helps optimize supply chain management and minimize stockouts by providing reliable estimates for product delivery timelines.

Elsewhere, the OMS proposes a notification engine that allows customer service agents to create personalised notifications based on a set of pre-configured rules. The trigger of notifications is event-based, so stores or customer services are informed of the upstream logistics, anticipating likely changes, and better managing customer expectations and promises.

Looking to the future, KBRW will apply best-of-breed OMS performance to fit the needs of large corporations to solve complex retail and supply chain problems. This will exceed technical performance and enable reassurance for security and compliance, better interoperability, and advanced risk-management.
