The 2026 Agent Ready Award

Jun 8 2026 - By Alliance

The MACH Members Brands Are Already Building Agents With

Most of our member companies are hearing the same question from the brands they sell to: what is your agent strategy, and what can you point to that is running in production? The honest answer is harder to give than the marketing around agents would suggest. A working demo and a deployed agentic system are not the same thing, and the brands we serve know it.

The MACH Alliance exists to help end-user brands tell the difference. Our certification tells buyers which vendors and partners are open, composable, and connected. But in 2026, certification on its own does not answer the agent question. Brands want to know which of our certified members are shipping agentic solutions in production, at scale, with the operational guardrails their businesses require.

The 2026 Agent Ready Award is our answer to that question.

A recognition, not another certification

The Agent Ready Award is not a new tier of MACH Alliance certification. It is an annual recognition that sits on top of existing certification, and it is open only to current certified members. Companies that do not hold current MACH Alliance certification will not be eligible to apply; certification remains the route in. The two pieces are designed to work together. Certification establishes you as a MACH Alliance member. The Agent Ready Award shows how far you have taken that foundation for brands building agentic solutions.

What we look for, by member type

The Alliance has technology vendor members and System Integrator members. The Agent Ready Award treats them differently because brands rely on them differently.

For our technology vendors, we want evidence that your platform is being used in production agents today. ISVs should be able to name brands that have built agents on top of their technology, integrated through open standards rather than proprietary hooks, and external to the ISV's own product. Enablers should be able to point to platform capability built specifically for agent workloads, paired with the operational maturity that running agents in production demands.

For our System Integrators, we want evidence that your organization, rather than one project team, is set up to deliver agentic work at scale. That means named senior practitioners with agent remits, a public market presence a buyer can find without insider knowledge, recent thought leadership, and production engagements for named customers. The work should go meaningfully beyond automation or predictive ML relabelled to suit the moment.

Why annual, and why the bar will move

Agent Ready is awarded for one year at a time, and the criteria are revised every year. Brand expectations of what an agent should do, the standards agents speak, and the operational practices required to run agents safely are all moving faster than any static credential can keep pace with. Each year we will revisit the criteria with member brands and the working groups shaping these standards, so the recognition continues to carry weight with the buyers it is built for. A vendor or integrator that earns Agent Ready in 2026 should expect to put real work into earning it again in 2027. We think that is appropriate.

What happens next

Submissions for the 2026 Agent Ready Award are open now, at no cost to certified members. Review the criteria for your member type and submit your application, based on member type:

ISV . SI . Enablers

We will announce the first cohort of recognized members in early July.

If you are a certified MACH Alliance member with production agent work you can point to, we want to hear from you.
