A Message from the President: New Leadership, New Momentum

I’m excited to share some key updates following our latest Executive Board kick-off. It was a full day of discussions focused on advancing MACH education, easing adoption, and continuing our industry expansion. These conversations reinforced our commitment to delivering value to our members and supporting the broader transition to composable architectures.

Strengthening Our Leadership

I'm proud to announce industry-veteran Bob Howland as our new Chairperson, bringing vital end-user and brand needs directly into our board setting and thereby our strategic focus. Congratulations to Malte Ubl, Kimberly Matenchuk, and Dom Selvon for their successful elections and a warm welcome to Amer Ali as our new Treasurer. Each of these leaders brings a unique perspective, and their vision will be critical in shaping the future of MACH.

In addition, Krithika Ganesamoorthi, Dom Selvon, and Jasmin Guthmann have been appointed as Vice Presidents. Their know-how in triggering industry change and enabling education will amplify our impact, and support end-users and members alike, in navigating the shift toward composable architectures rooted in the MACH principles.

As I step into my re-appointed role as President, I want to thank Chris Bach and Jon Panella for their incredible support. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping our journey, and I’m grateful for their continued involvement.

Focus Areas for the Year Ahead

As we look ahead, our focus is clear:

• Expand Education: We will continue to provide world-class educational experiences that equip businesses and practitioners with the knowledge required to fully realize all the business potential made possible by the MACH principles.
• Ease of Entry and Adoption: Simplifying the adoption of MACH will remain a priority, as we aim to make future-fit composable architectures more accessible to companies regardless of sector, maturity, and size.
• Grow the Community: We want to scale our strong community, which already helps practitioners and end-users embrace a composable, open tech stack based on MACH principles. Our focus is on formalizing this further, to enable a supportive environment where everyone can learn and share ideas. Through online discussions, in-person meetings, and workshops, we encourage connections that foster innovation.
