Product and content teams delegate catalog-wide enrichment and copy to a governed agent team instead of working SKU by SKU.
An always-on product optimization flywheel where a team of agents enriches each SKU, generates product content, activates it across every channel, and refreshes it based on performance and market signals.
Takes a launch brief, scopes the work, applies the retailer's source, taxonomy and brand rules, runs its specialist agents, and escalates only the exceptions.
Retailers now compete for discovery in AI search, shopping assistants and their own onsite search, and each channel reads a product record differently. That makes the work per SKU: attributes that match the retailer's taxonomy, descriptions written in the shopper's language, and product rules applied the same way across thousands of items.
Large catalogs change faster than lean product-data, content and merchandising teams can fill them. The retailers quoted in Ocula's submission describe the size of the gap: one building-supplies retailer adds around 10,000 products a month and completes around 1,000; a health and beauty retailer wants product set-up to fall from 14 weeks to 7; a specialist retailer spends 30 to 40 hours a week on manual attribute entry.
General-purpose assistants speed up single tasks, but retailers report uneven classification, invented detail, and product rules that are not applied consistently at scale. Keeping sources traceable and rules enforced across a whole catalog is a different job from writing one description well.
The agents are built for multi-brand retailers in home improvement, hardware, electronics, specialty retail, building supplies, multi-brand fashion, farm and fleet, and multi-category retail, where catalogs are large, complex and change constantly.
The agents sit alongside a retailer's existing systems as a product-data and content layer. Catalog data goes in, enriched attributes and channel-ready copy come back approved, and the retailer's product information system stays the system of record.
Work enters as a file upload or over a direct connection and is mapped into a shared product model. An orchestration agent reads the requested outcome and applies the retailer's rules: which sources are trusted or blocked, which taxonomy and attribute values apply, which units and formats are permitted, and which specialist agents handle each stage. Governance, enrichment, copy, and QA then run in order, with a human review step wherever the rules ask for one.
The enrichment agent keeps the evidence behind each attribute, so QA checks claims against sources instead of plausibility, repairs and rechecks what a rule can fix, and escalates only the exceptions. Rules and working preferences persist across sessions, so when product information changes only the affected products are regenerated. A performance agent closes the loop by naming the products losing visibility in discovery and what should change.
