MACH Alliance Code of Conduct
All members of the Advisory Board, Executive Board, Councils and Panels are subject to a code of conduct.
If there is a breach of the code of conduct the individual will be notified by the President in writing. An Executive Board vote can be called (at the discretion of the President) to have that person removed from their position.
- Integrity and Honesty: Members shall act with honesty and integrity in all matters related to the Alliance. They shall avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts promptly to the President or Head of Council/Panel. Members should refrain from using their position for personal gain.
- Accountability: Members are accountable for their decisions and actions. They should always act in the best interests of the Alliance.
- Transparency and open communication: Members shall foster transparency by promoting open and honest communication, ensuring that relevant information is shared according to guidelines, and providing clear explanations for decisions. Differences of opinion should be addressed through constructive dialogue, promoting a culture of mutual respect and shared decision-making.
- Respect and collaboration: Members shall treat each other, staff members, volunteers, and stakeholders with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. Diverse perspectives and opinions will be welcomed and valued in discussions and decision-making processes.
- Strategic Focus and Decision-Making: Members shall maintain a strategic perspective, making decisions that align with the Alliance's mission, goals, and long-term sustainability. They will base decisions on thoughtful consideration, sound judgment, and relevant data.
- Upholding the Alliance's Reputation: Members shall act in a manner that upholds and enhances the reputation and credibility of the Alliance. Their behavior and actions should reflect positively on the Alliance and its mission.
- Confidentiality: Members shall maintain the confidentiality of sensitive Alliance information, discussions, and decisions. They shall not disclose confidential information to unauthorized parties, both during their tenure and after their service.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Members shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the Alliance's operations.
